Aga Khan Hospital, Karimabad invites applications for the position of Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for preparation of budget and monthly financials; review of financial activities & performance related to secondary hospital Karimabad to ensure the credibility and integrity of financial transactions in order to enable management take effective decisions.
Your responsibilities include;
Supervise activities related to billing and cashiering functions.
Review all patient charges are properly captured and billed to patient.
Resolve patients' billing queries to their satisfaction.
Responsible to lead entire financial activities of hospital.
Responsible for closing activities, including maintenance of all GL and its recon with their respective coordinators.
Follow standard procedures to improve efficiency in cash and credit collection, fund transfer and inter departmental reporting.
Deal with internal, external auditors and risk and compliance team.
Supervise BCP (business Continuity Plan) and train front office staffs
Monitor daily creation of debts and its follow up with finance head for its recovery through Discharge Validation report (DVR).
Verification of financial schedules with general ledger.
Ensure compliance of procedures related to PBSD.
Assist in preparation of annual budget and long-term projections and preparation of budget breakup into months. Also, supervise uploading the budget into the financial modules
Assist in annual price increase exercise through which individual service prices are increased as per the approved budget with the coordination of different departments
Preparing of Statistical and Financial Budget Variance Report (BVR), Financial Reports including Financial Performance, Newsletters and other reports as and when required by the Management.
Prepare Costing and Financial feasibilities pertaining to existing and / or any new proposed services or projects by gathering information with the coordination of different departments, by use of web engines and research for market intelligence to add value in the reports presented for decision by Senior Management.
Undertake service / specialty based margin analysis.
Any other task assigned by Assistant Manager/Manager.
You should have;
ACCA qualified, MBA, ICMA part III/ CA intermediate or equivalent.
At least 3 years experience in a supervisory capacity
Sound knowledge of overall financial systems.
Possess knowledge of IFRS and good Analytical Skills.
Command over Budget and Management Report presentation.
Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills.
Customer focus and business oriented
Be a fast learner, team worker and motivated.
Computer skills (Knowledge of computerized billing / financial system and MS Office).
