Now your CNIC is your Sehat Card, Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Department, Government of Punjab has facilitated 100 percent population of Punjab to use Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) as their Sehat Card. Sehat Card is here meant as a card which can be used by a patient to take his/ her treatment in a hospital without giving any cost to the hospital. The patient can take this treatment facility upto Rs.10 Lac per annum. If you are permanent resident of Punjab as per NADRA CNIC, then you are eligible. Your CNIC is your Health card in that case.

Health Card facilities are available on CNIC of Family-Head. To take this facility, the citizens need to ensure their correct data entry in NADRA record.

How to become beneficiary of Sehat Card?

One should take the following steps to take benefit from this Sehat Card programme:

  1. Get your CNIC or B Form from NADRA.
  2. Get your record updated with NADRA.
  3. Update your marital status in NADRA record.

How to check Sehat Card eligibility?

To check your eligibility in the sehat card program, SMS your National Identity Card Number (CNIC) to 8500 OR visit https://www.pmhealthprogram.gov.pk/check-your-eligibility/

How to get medical treatment in a hospital?

If you are facing any illness and need to get free medical treatment in a hospital using sehat card, contact the nearest doctor. After his/ her examination, the doctor will determine the type of illness and suggest if there is a need to admit the patient in the hospital. After Hospital Admission, entire treatment will be free of cost. However, OPD is not covered in Program.
