Job Description

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Trainee Dietitian.

Responsibilities:
This is a one-year traineeship programme, during which you will be trained on different activities of the department. You will be expected, under-supervision to:
assess nutritional needs of the therapeutic patients
compile of dietetic information and update patients nutrition plan
counsel patients on nutrition in both outpatient and inpatient settings
organize and report records and statistics of meals served and nutritional counseling provided
examine diet orders and cross-check them with meal slips and daily menus etc.
rectify any deficiency in meal service and inspect the tray line operations
take-up a variety of clinical and non-clinical assignments in connection with clinical nutrition care.

Requirements:
You should have:
at least a Bachelors degree in Human Nutrition or Home Economics with majors in Nutrition & Food Management
good interpersonal skills, particularly communication skills
good command in the use of computer applications, particularly MS Office
willingness to work independently as well as in teams and handle work pressure.
