Supervisor, Security - Karachi, Pakistan

Job Description

Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Supervisor to provide support to the Institute for Educational Development campus in Karimabad, Karachi.

Responsibilities:
The appointee will be responsible for:
protecting life and property by providing safety cover and assistance to all the employees, students and visitors of AKU/IED within the perimeter of his assigned area
functioning as a team leader for all guards in his area of responsibility and ensure that security staff carries out their duties effectively
carrying out periodic check of the guards on duty to ensure alertness and vigilance
assisting security guards in public dealing
assisting and escorting police and law enforcement personnel with in AKU/IED premises when asked to do so by the supervisor In-charge security IED/control supervisor/Security Information Reporting/Response Centre (SIRC)
carrying out investigation of incidents taking place during their duty hours when directed by the control supervisor.

Requirements:
You should have:
a matriculate certificate
minimum two years of experience as trained soldier/combatant in the Pakistan armed force, rangers, frontier corps, frontier constabulary, coast guard or police at the level of junior-commissioned officer (non-commissioned officers with six years and sepoys with ten years service with AKU are eligible to apply) or civilian having at least fifteen years experience in security management, however, experience in Special Service Group (SSG) & intelligence units would be preferred
good supervisory skills
good communication and investigation skills.
