Software Engineer - Java - Karachi, Pakistan

Job Description

Role:
• An individual contributor who writes high quality, secure code that is modular, functional
and testable.
• Designs and develops applications, system to system interfaces and complete software
solutions
• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.
• Code development, code review, troubleshooting and day-to-day support duties
Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Experience with Java/J2EE technologies like Spring boot framework, REST APIs, JSON
• Experience with application design and development using React or Angular
• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and core computer science concepts.
• Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.
• Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Git and versioning
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong relationship,
collaborative, and organization skills
• Experience with UNIX/Linux system, spring boot experience
• Cloud computing and services, AWS preferred.
• Any of: Scala, Python, C++
Bonus Points If:
• You have experience with Cloud Native Platforms including Kubernetes, Docker Enterprise,
or Cloud Foundry in the public cloud
• You have experience with Microservices, Functions, Event-driven/reactive programming or
other Cloud Native architectures
• You have experience in Installation, configuration, and development including work within
a production environment
• You have experience in developing high performing client-side applications
• You have knowledge of CSS/CSS3 - Knowledge of what works in specific browsers
• You have experience with Containers and/or Serverless
• You have experience deploying systems into a production Cloud Native Environment with
major cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services and/or Microsoft Azure.
• You have experience in web-scale applications
• You have experience with DevOps and Agile engineering practices
• You have any Cloud certification
