Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Female Hostels, you will be posted at the reception of the School of Nursing and Midwifery Hostel.
Specific responsibilities include:
meeting, greeting and attending to the needs of hostellites, day scholars, guests and AKU maintenance staff visiting female hostel, and ensure an excellent customer service attitude
maintaining accessibility at the reception counter at all times and must not leave the reception un-attended
answering the phone calls promptly, courteously and providing the required information to callers
ensuring that the hostel reception area and visitors lounge is clean and tidy at all times
monitoring who is coming and going through the entrance of the hostel and be able to observe and report any suspicious behavior or activity to the management
ensuring that no unauthorized person enters in the hostel without reporting to reception and must have proper identification
receiving and maintaining proper record of daily mail/ deliveries/couriers/messages and notify the hostellites and staff promptly
building a good relationship and rapport with all the hostellites and resolve their issues on priority basis
keeping an up to date record of all day scholars/guests/maintenance staff who are within the hostel premises and ensuring that they leave within the allowed time
maintaining record of all hostellites in, In & Out Register regarding their departure arrival from vacations/short leaves
ensuring that hostellites enter their names in In & Out Register if going to library/ cafeteria after 11 PM
handling shift work and perform extra duties as and when required
Requirements:
You should have:
minimum Bachelors Degree from HEC recognized University with one to two years experience in a front office reception/customer/hospitality service
a friendly and welcoming demeanour
excellent interpersonal/administrative skills, including pleasant telephone manners
professional appearance
ability to remain calm during difficult situations/busy environment
expertise to use computer, commonly used software and email
ability to work in a team.
