Job Description

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Food Service Worker.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, which includes:
cleanliness of cafeterias, kitchen, offices and other places through sweeping, moping, dusting, washing etc.
service delivery at cafeteria counter, patient meal service tray line, food production and processing areas as per the instructions.
furnishing the food service area with tables and chairs. Laying out tablecloths, dishes, and cutlery. You will take customer orders, serve the food, and clear the dishes.
decorating the food service area as per user requirement.
showing diners to their seats (if there is a seating arrangement) and serving diners food.
knowing enough about the event to direct diners to the restroom and points of interest.
loading a truck with food, cooking appliances, and decor.
making sure food supplies are kept stocked.
cleaning up food spills and keeping the service area presentable.
washing dishes and throwing out trash to the designated place.
keeping a record of broken or missing equipments, dishes, and cutlery and informing management of required replacements.

Requirements:
Preferably a Matriculate.
At least two to three years of banquet service or external catering experience.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, memos and short correspondence.
Ability to respond to simple complaints or inquiries from customers, members of the business community, and/or regulatory agencies.
Must be able to make independent decisions.
Must maintain a service oriented attitude at all times.
Flexibility with working in shift duties.
