Senior Medical Officer, GI & Surgery Service Line - Pakistan

Job Description

GI & Surgery Service Line manage patients with a variety of acute and chronic surgical and medical conditions related to General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Gastroenterology. Comprehensive inpatient and outpatient facilities including general and intensive care are available for surgical and gastrointestinal patients. Moreover, our Endoscopy suite provides diagnostic/therapeutic endoscopic procedures to both ambulatory and inpatients.
Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Senior Medical Officer, GI & Surgery Service Line.

You will be responsible to:
provide and coordinate dynamic medical services (including resuscitation, stabilization and assessment and diagnosis, treatment and referral as necessary)
patients initial evaluation, investigation, and management to maintain consistently high clinical quality and service standards
provide care to patients with chronic and terminal conditions to reduce deterioration, increase independence and reduce suffering linking, where relevant, with appropriate service providers
ensure quality in primary care through patient consultations must be accurately recorded in the clinical patient notes
coordinate with medical staff and work under the supervision of on-call faculty to ensure the admitted patients care management and treatment as per defined policy and protocols.

You should have:
an MBBS degree with at least 5-6 years of experience or MCPS trained/FCPS-I with 2-3 years of experience in GI & Surgery will be preferred
a valid license from Pakistan Medical & Dental College (PMDC)
good communication and interpersonal skills
willingness to work in shift duties.
