Position requirements:
Minimum Education & Experience:
12 years equivalent education with 5 years relevant work experience
14 years equivalent education with 3 years relevant work experience
16 years equivalent education with preferably some relevant experience
** IT related work experience and language courses taken preferred
Skills:
Strong IT skills with demonstrated experience
Identify and resolve technical and non-technical issues in a timely manner.
Demonstrate patience and persistence when helping students and instructors and respond promptly in a friendly and helpful manner to questions.
Dependability in following schedules and procedures, give advance notice when unable to work a scheduled time.
Take the job seriously and perform at the highest level of your ability.
Report to work on time. Notify your supervisor in advance of any possible delays.
Job Purpose/Summary:
The Lab Assistant is responsible to ensure that the lab environment is appropriate for users to complete their academic tasks. This is a part time position, required working hours are 3 hours/5 days (Mon-Fri).
Responsibilities:
Assist FLC instructors for their class preparation including synchronous and asynchronous lessons
Engage with the IT dept for checking and maintain the FLC classrooms with proper equipment for the Hybrid classes
Assist each instructor to install their required multimedia materials and online resources
Update and do the maintenance of the FLC Instagram, SNS within the duty time
Take in charge of FLC lab classes when the lab opens:
Guide and teach visitors & students how to use FLC books in office
Keep the record of the attendance for each language course for the respective instructors for their academic grading
Supervise all the learning process of the students while they are in the lab
Make sure that the lab classroom is clean and ready for FLC students
Any other specific task assigned by the supervisor.
