Job Description

This position will be based in the Department of Population Health reporting to the study Principal Investigator, COREP Study, Kenya. The appointee will support the Study Coordinator and Data Manager in the day-to-day and will ensure high quality and timely field data collection.

Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
Support coordination and logistics of the field activities
Assist in training of CHVs in biological sample and data collection
Contribute to participant recruitment
Conduct questionnaire administration in households
Assist in data-entry and data uploading,
Assist in biological sample collection and sample transport
Support the data manager with data cleaning and management
Assist in contact-tracing
Compile reports of field activities
Maintain field study documents
Liaise with Department of Health and other stakeholders

Requirements:
Qualifications:
Applicant must have a background in Nursing, Clinical medicine or related disciplines.
A minimum of two (2) years working experience in collecting field data in the public health sector especially in Kilifi County is highly desirable.
The successful candidate must be experienced in using electronic data collection tools.
They must possess knowledge of research on human subjects and related research ethical issues.
Good verbal and written communication skills on the local language/dialect will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently and adherence to time-lines are desirable.
