Reporting to the Project Director, Projects, the Electrical Engineer will guide, direct and oversee a team of electrical supervisor and technician, including contract/annual maintenance for day to-day operations and maintenance of electrical plant and equipment, in order to enhance maintenance skills, minimize plan down time/improve uptime, and thus optimize performance and plant reliability particularly standby power system.

Responsibilities:
Ensure safe and optimized Power Distribution System & Supply at 11kV and LV, including Earthing.
Operation and basic maintenance of standby diesel generator sets (3 nos.) with associated synchronizing panel and ATSs
Motors, MCCs, VFDs and controls for HVAC plant & Equipment, Air & medical gas compressors and water pumping system, laundry equipment
Well maintained backup power supply system
Reduced downtime
Building Services-Lifts, BMS/Fire Alarm System/Access Control
Up to date electrical systems
Oversee departmental employees in their day to day duties
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements:
A Bachelors degree in engineering, Bachelor of Science Engineering or Bachelor Tech in Electrical Engineering
10 years hands-on experience in installation, testing, commissioning, operation and maintenance of power systems, motor drive and associated control gear, Fire alarm systems and Know-how and experience of BMS and controls will be an added advantage
Conversant with basic design and planning of electrical system and selection of plant and equipment
System design review, project engineering and management
Familiar with safe work practices and related codes and standards
Computer skills in word processing, excel and preferably CAD
