Job Description

The Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Radiographer.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
selecting proper film and insert into holder as per standard procedure
performing diagnostic x-ray procedures on patients as prescribed by clinicians that observed prescribed safety procedures
determining proper voltage, current and desired exposure time for each radiograph
developing film and check quality as required
repeating exposure procedure from different angles as prescribed by physician
scheduling patients for x-ray procedures if required
maintaining equipment by cleaning and making minor adjustment (if required) and report to supervisor in case of any fault or breakdown
educating patients of the requirements of the procedure and assessing their level of comfort.
ensuring proper working of the radiation-monitoring device and take responsibility for any loss or damage to the device.
performing daily quality assurance activities.
performing duties in shifts.

Requirements:
You should have:
Intermediate in Science
One year Certified Radiography course from a recognized institute.
2-3 years relevant experience as a Radiographer
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of diagnostic procedures and operation of equipment.
