Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Assistant Manager, Safety & Security, Secondary Hospital Hyderabad

You will be responsible for:
developing and ensuring implementation of Safety & Security policies/procedures/strategies for AKMCCC
managing smooth safety and security operations at Hyderabad hospital & ensuring 24/7 prompt response to all safety/security related incidents (in person)
providing operational oversight to strengthen administrative and management functions.
scheduling visit of AKU Collection Points & research sites located in Interior Sindh for better monitoring & control purpose in consultation with Manager Security (OC & OP)
checking daily reports of security staff attendance & initiate security reports through e-mails to S&S department
surprise rounds of AKU research sites & Labs within Sindh to ensure implementation of policies & procedures and to check the turn out of the security staff in consultation of Manager Security (OC & OP)
supervisory rounds of AKU research sites & Labs within Sindh in consultation of Manager Security (OC & OP) ensuring implementation of policies & procedures,
planning and supervising the electronic security system (CCTV access control system / alarm) efforts of AKMCCC, Hyderabad & all AKU research sites & Labs in interior Sindh
Conduct training of security staff & awareness session for other AKU staff at AKMCCC & AKU research sites & Labs within Sindh
Coordinating/ facilitating visits of fire safety officer to AKMCCC Hyderabad & interior Sindh for inspections/training/ awareness sessions at AKU research sites & Labs within Sindh.
Initiate daily OK reports and monthly training/ awareness sessions reports for MRC to S&S department & keep record for Audit
Investigate all security incidents/near missed cases and submit report as per S&S standard at AKMCCC & AKU research sites & Labs within Sindh
Liaising and coordinating with local law enforcement agencies on all security matters on periodical basis through visits meeting and contact
liaising with external agencies e.g. Army, Police, Intelligence and Civil Administration for law & order information and assistance, if so required.

You should have:
Bachelors degree, Masters would be preferred
experience as an Army Officer of the rank of Major or equivalent with preferable experience of serving in intelligence / fighting arms
thorough knowledge of protection of life and property in terms of safety and security
ability to define security measures in relation to specific situation analysis
an excellent communication, leadership and presentation skills
excellent interpersonal skills; have acumen for interviews and investigations
ability to work effectively under pressure.
