Kitchen Helpers assist cooks and chefs in food preparation and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen. Their tasks include washing, peeling, cutting vegetables, cleaning utensils, and ensuring the kitchen is organised and hygienic at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in basic food preparation (washing, cutting, peeling).
Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen floors, surfaces, and storage areas.
Dispose of waste properly.
Help unload and store kitchen supplies and groceries.
Follow food hygiene and safety standards.
Assist chefs and cooks as needed during busy hours.
Requirements:
No formal education required; high school preferred.
Basic knowledge of food hygiene is an advantage.
Ability to follow instructions and work in a team.
Physically fit to stand for long hours and lift items if required.
Previous experience as a kitchen helper or cleaner is a plus.
