Junior Accountant - Dubai, UAE

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance team with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and ensuring accuracy in reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
Assist in accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
Process invoices, payments, and expense reports
Handle petty cash transactions and maintain records
Assist in bank reconciliations and cash flow tracking
Support month-end and year-end closing processes
Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records
Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
Coordinate with internal teams for accounting-related matters
Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
Requirements & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-3 years of accounting experience (freshers with strong knowledge can also apply)
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Tally, Zoho, QuickBooks, or ERP systems)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Good organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Skills
Experience in handling VAT filings (UAE VAT knowledge is an advantage)
Exposure to inventory accounting or project costing
Basic understanding of financial reporting
