Job Description

The Umeed-e-Nau (UeN) initiative of the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Women and Child Health aims to support the introduction, scale-up and further piloting of high quality and high impact interventions to improve Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (MNCAH) in Pakistan by harnessing the potential of both public and private sectors, coupled with introduction of women and girls empowerment interventions. UeN has two major components; one is to introduce proven effective MNCAH interventions at scale in 14 districts and the second is to generate evidence through innovative approaches to improve MNCAH while included in the public health programme in Pakistan. Of the five innovation projects, one aims to measure the Men Engagement in Women Empowerment (MEWE) through Life Skills Building (LSB) and cash transfer to improve maternal mental health in Pakistan.
The department is carrying out a cluster randomized control trial which is an implementation research for introducing sustainable uptake of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) in rural Pakistan.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
identify the eligible research subject for the study in the randomly selected households, community or research facility
explain the purpose of the study to the research subjects and their parents, and take their consents
complete the Case Report Files (CRFs) as per the guidelines of the study
assist the supervisors with patients' assessments and examinations
maintain updated detailed records of all patients enrolled in the study

Requirements:
You should have:
Matriculate and at least one year of relevant experience in healthcare or research facility
good communication skills with an ability to give oral instructions and information to research subjects and their parents
ability to learn quickly and follow the instructions
willingness to work in community setting
well-versed with local language
This is a contractual position to be based in Dadu.
