Al Raja School (American Mission School), Al Raja School was established in 1899 by missionaries from the Reformed Church in America (RCA) as the first Western-style school in the Gulf and situated in the heart of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Manama. Al Raja School wishes to appoint an outstanding Vice Principal to our Elementary section to continue to build on the section's excellent academic standards and successfully lead the Kindergarten - Grade 5. The Board seeks an innovative and driven leader to lead the Elementary section's growth and development.
The successful candidate will have:
- a passion for education and the ability to lead, inspire and challenge a team of teachers from Kindergarten to 5th Grade levels
- appropriate teaching qualities with a proven track-record as a teaching practitioner
- significant senior leadership experience leading continuous school improvement focused on achieving measurable goals, and implementing new initiative and improving educational standards
- strong administrative management skills
- excellent written and oral communication skills and fluent in both English and Arabic
- sensitivity to issues arising out of working in a multicultural community with differing religious practices
- a desire for students with different learning needs to be nurtured within the broader student community
- empathy for the emotional and social welfare of the students
