Job Description

As a steppingstone to combat with the surge in COVID-19 cases, which threatens to overwhelm the existing healthcare system in Pakistan, AKU has launched its COVID Tele-ICU initiative in collaboration with Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Dawood Hercules Corporation Ltd., and Government of Pakistan. The project is aimed at building public sectors hospitals capacity to take care of critically ill patients in ICUs and HDUs. It revolves around healthcare workforce development through online courses, and on-site simulation-based learning for the HDU/ICU healthcare staff. This initiative also provides remote Tele-ICU consultation services to healthcare professionals working in COVID and critical care across Pakistan using contemporary audio-visual technology to guide critical case management.
This is a grant-funded contractual position.

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
develop a comprehensive marketing and communications plan for the Tele ICU project
conduct in depth industry research and analysis to identify the target audiences for the project
increase the uptake of Tele ICU hotline service through effective marketing and communication campaigns
increase participation in capacity building educational courses offered by the Tele ICU project to a wide variety of audiences
develop and track digital / social media presence of the Tele ICU project based on agreed metrics and propose corrective measures for decision making
produce and propose creative marketing content including videos, pictures and proofreading for the project in collaboration with the key stakeholders
establish a positive collaborative relationship with relevant internal and external stakeholders
prepare and analyse pre and post-campaign performance reports to be presented to senior management and other stakeholders for timely corrective decision making of future campaigns.

Requirements:
You should have:
a Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications and/or Social Sciences from a recognised HEC university or institution. Masters will be preferred
2-3 years of experience in the capacity of a marketer /communicator in a reputable organisation particularly familiar with digital marketing and promotions, engagement through social media platforms to attract desired target audience
excellent communication skills, in both English and Urdu languages
ability to develop content and visuals for key messaging
ability to communicate and deal effectively with a diverse group of people
Strong writing, proof reading, presentation, problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong networking, interpersonal and cross-departmental skills
hands-on skills of graphics designing and ability to use editing software like Photoshop and Illustrator will be an added advantage.
