Job Description

Examine, diagnose and treat patients to certify medical status and to provide occupational health care and medical treatment to eligible employees.

Conducting regular patient checkup based on update medical practice.
Diagnosing and investigating all patients based on best clinical practice.
Prescription of medication based on best clinical practice and DOH regulation.
Provides education and health prevention guidance recommendations during the medical management plan.
Adhere to Etihad Medical Centre SOP in referring patients to other specialty.
Adhere to Gatekeeping project and maintain the required KPI.
Adhere to sick leave policy, issuance must be based on proper medical evaluation and diagnosis.
Maintain Etihad Medical Centre KPIs (Medical / Performance).
Ensure regular skills & Knowledge updates by attending conferences, courses, and reviewing up to date articles.
Maintain all required licenses as per DOH regulations and requirements.
Adhere to Etihad Airways grooming policy and standards.
Comply with all relevant safety, quality, health and environmental procedures to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Participate in the development and implementation of policies, processes, and procedures to ensure all relevant procedural / regulatory/ and legislative requirements are fulfilled.

Validate and approve pre-employment medicals for the new joiners in accordance with internal procedures and regulations to ensure accurate evaluations of patients status
Conduct regular medical consultations and respond to medical emergencies to ensure positive outcomes and patient satisfaction
Gather and analyses information on current best practices to assist in the formulation of company aero-medical policies in line with national and international standards
Provide occupational health support at the Medical Centre and at the airport to ensure staff health and wellness
Conduct health education lectures to raise and enhance health and safety awareness and education
Certify and validate external sickness / fitness certificates according to procedures and regulations to ensure compliance with Company and regulatory standards
Evaluate and approve MEDIFs (Medical Insurance forms) to ensure alignment to internal procedures and regulations
Assist in drug / alcohol testing to ensure examination validity
Present medical diagnosis and statistics reports to management to provide awareness and aid decision making

MBBS or equivalent medical degree from accredited university.
A minimum of 5 years experience post graduate (UAE experience).
Post graduate diploma in family medicine, gynecology, and emergency medicine is preferred.
Membership of royal college or equivalent is preferred.
