Job Description

PERAC Research and Development Foundation (PRDF) is the largest testing laboratory of Pakistan, established by PERAC & UNIDO to provide research, development & analytical services to Petroleum, Petrochemical, Chemical and other Process industries. PRDF assists the industries in pollution monitoring and controls, energy conservation, setting-up testing laboratories, product development and consultancy, evaluate and analyse Crude Oil, POL products, Chemicals, etc. for industries in the public and private sectors.
To meet its growth and expansion targets, PRDF is seeking applications for the following position:

BUSINESS UNIT MANAGER

Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Master's degree in Applied/Analytical Chemistry, preferably with postgraduate qualification in Business Management. The person should be a seasoned professional with a proven track record of managing operations of an Oil & Gas testing laboratory of international standard. The ideal candidate will be a visionary, who will be required to demonstrate leadership skills and expertise to lead the operations of the lab. In-depth knowledge of petroleum products and processes are pre-requisites of the job. This leadership role requires mature, balanced and energetic person having good administrative, communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience:
At least 20 years operations management experience, including experience of Managing laboratory in a process industry.

Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chairman PRDF, the position will be responsible for the overall management of the laboratory, ensuring profitable operations. The incumbent will be required to provide strategic leadership, giving new direction to the business in view of the changing business environment and industry trends. The candidate will also explore new business avenues and shall manage other managerial functions such as sales & marketing, client relations, human resource & administration, inventory control, asset integrity, risk management & safety operations, etc.

Age: Should not exceed 55 years.
