Registered Nurse (Field Site), Family Medicine - Karachi, Pakistan

Job Description

The Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Registered Nurse (Field Site), Family Medicine (Male preferred).

Responsibilities:
You will be responsible to:
carry initial assessment of patients visiting clinic or injured on field
assess and recognize changes in patients condition, while performing regular nursing care or other assessments of Patients
plan health teaching sessions for employees according to the need assessment
assist field doctor during consultation and procedure
implement teaching programme in collaboration with field doctor for field employees/patients/families as per need assessment
provide safe environment for the employees and him/ herself by following infection control policies and applying safety measures for patients
take prompt and appropriate action in an emergency/disaster situation and carries out emergency procedures as per scope of service
remain 24 hours on-call for emergencies at field site
inspect and maintain first aid boxes placed at various locations at site provides timely, comprehensive and complete nursing documentation by utilizing nursing process, which meets nursing quality standards.

Requirements:
You should have:
a Diploma in Nursing from an accredited school; Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing ( BScN) would be preferred
at least two year of work experience at acute care setting
valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
certification in BLS, CPR, Safe Medication Administration, I/V Cannulation
excellent communication and interpersonal skills
an effective team player and contributes to team building.
