CHINA POWER HUB GENERATION COMPANY (Joint Venture between China Power International Holdings and HUBCO), the only power project of China Pakistan Economic Corridor in Baluchistan province is setting up 1320 MW Coal Fired Power Plant and invites applications from qualified, experienced and self-motivated individuals for the following positions:

HEAD OF INTERNAL AUDIT
Location: Karachi, Head Office
Reports to Chief Executive Officer

JOB PURPOSE (POSITION OVERVIEW)
Responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews of the company.
To ensure that the Internal Audit Function provides an independent assessment of the adequacy of the company’s internal systems and controls, including the systems for appropriate identification and evaluation of risk and for ensuring compliance with all applicable law and regulation.
A secondary role is to provide advice on internal control to CPHGC’s management, including responding to questions on risk management techniques.
To draw any weaknesses or shortcomings noted to the attention of management.

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum Qualification: Chartered Accountant. Minimum 6-8 years post qualified experience. Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) designation is preferred.
Power Sector experience will be preferred.
Excellent knowledge of banking/financial business operations and risk-based auditing attained through 3-5 years of progressive work experience with a focus on financial risk and regulatory requirements.
Ability to manage projects and, when required, supervise auditors to follow sound internal control practices and to manage risks appropriately.
Acts as a Team Player - Collaborate and supporting colleagues and peers across the organization, while still being able to work independently when needed.
Strong skills in negotiation, relationship building and problem solving.
Excellent written and communication skills; time management and organizational skills.
