Job Description

Bank AL Habib Limited is one of the largest private-sector banks in Pakistan, with overseas presence in seven countries. We are looking for a highly qualified experienced and technically sound professional for the position of Head of Trade in Centralized Processing Unit at Karachi. The position will be responsible for supervision of entire Centralized Trade Operations including Compliance related issues.

Key responsibilities of the Position includes but not limited to:
Manage Centralized Trade Operations all Import/ Export and Remittance activities.
Compliance with SBP Regulations, Banks Policy, Government Directives and other regulatory requirements including Trade Based Money Laundering, and effective interaction with correspondents and customers.
Work closely with Divisional Head in achieving the Divisions objectives-Reporting to Head of Centralized Processing Unit (CPU)
Work across functional boundaries and maintain collaborative relationships with the Divisions and Zones of the Bank and ensure expeditious implementation of new plans and projects.
Identify opportunities for bringing efficiencies/ controls and handling high volume/risk transaction as per threshold.
Maintain good contact and working relationships with regulators, peers and corporates to facilitate business needs/structured transactions of customers.
Ensure that policies and procedures relating to CPU Trade Operations are duly updated.

Key qualifications and experience should be as follows:
About 15 years hands-on experience (10 years Managerial, 5 years in senior position) in relevant field of Trade.
Good leadership skills: people development, provides necessary guidelines/training, and ensures people are fully aware of new guidelines/ circulars.
Fully conversant with Import Trade Policies/ UCP/e UCP/SBP, URR/ URC/ URDG/ ISBP, etc.
Graduation degree (preferably Masters) from HEC recognized University/Institute. Certificate for Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) shall have an edge.
Good writing, presentation and communication skills.
Conversant/capable of digitalization of Trade Finance transactions.
