Job Description

Aga Khan University Hospital invites applications for the position of Associate (Communications).

You will be responsible for strengthening AKUHs internal and external communications with relevant stakeholders to raise positive voices. Presence on Digital platforms, including but not limited to website, social media, text engagement, digital standees and video content.

Other responsibilities include:
developing and executing communications strategies, content plans, and tactics that support the goals and objectives of the Marketing and Communications department and are focused towards key internal and external stakeholders.
working closely with team members in the Marketing and Communications department, and other relevant stakeholders in the organization including Service Lines, Hospital Leadership, Outreach Services to ensure that strategies are aligned with the overall institutional goals and objectives.
writing and editing material including press releases, content for digital platforms and other materials.
managing the communication email account and developing & distributing material to be shared through it with internal and external stakeholders.
developing and producing communication material including videos and publications.
delivering high quality tactical initiatives, on budget and on time.
leading strategic initiatives with the media and public to meet communication objectives.
tracking the impact and performance of communication specific activities.
writing relevant SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) that help build capability.
spearheading media relations for AKUH as required.

Requirements:
A Masters degree from a recognized institution in Social Sciences, Media Studies or Marketing.
2-3 years related work experience in a communications role at a corporation or a not-for-profit organization.
Must have a strong work ethic, multi-tasking skills and strong writing and editing skills.
Knowledgeable about social media platforms, and have basic video production and website content management skills.
Excellent communication skills in English and Urdu.
Ability to work under pressure and able to meet deadlines and targets.
Proficiency in MS Office.
Able to work collaboratively within a team setting.
