Chief Technology Officer
U Microfinance Bank is looking to recruit a senior resource for the position of Chief Technology Officer. The primary responsibility of the position is to run and manage the overall Information Technology function and IT related projects of the bank. In addition, the incumbent will also be required to develop and execute the technology related organization wide strategy in line with the growth plans of the bank.
Key Responsibilities:
To provide strategic and operational direction for running technology function of the bank that includes IT infrastructure, network services, applications, change delivery, as well as the overall process and governance framework.
To lead technology in assisting the organization in achieving business goals.
To evaluate overall operations of computing and Information Technology functions, recommend & drive improvements.
Develop, track and control the technology departments operating and capital budget.
Ensure that the IT department operates in compliance within the overall internal and external compliance framework, guidelines, regulations.
To oversee & lead complex application software implementation throughout the bank.
Develop, maintain and review overall framework of IT policies, procedures, standards and strategies to support business to deliver value.
Plan, initiate and manage Information Technology related projects. Monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards and cost targets are met.
Optimizing and managing the technology network in a manner that it delivers high efficiency with resilience and cost effectiveness.
Design and execute business continuity plans with all relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:
Candidate must have a Masters degree from a reputable local or international university.
Candidate should have at least 20 Years of experience in the field of IT with the last role as a CTO reporting to the President & CEO.
The candidate must have at least 10 years of work experience in banking at a senior level and should have handled working with the Board of Directors.
