BRAC International is pleased to announce this dynamic and exciting vacancy for its office in Afghanistan. BRAC is one of the largest NGQ's in the world with its head office located in Bangladesh. BRAC is currently working in eight countries in various developmental sectors. BRAC International is looking for a highly dynamic, dedicated, professional and motivated individual as "Country Head of Accounts" for its office in Afghanistan on contractual basis. The designated person will report to the Country Head of Operations in Afghanistan and Director Finance, BRAC International
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Consolidation of accounts for al! operations for BRAC Afghanistan and
interim reporting to Head Office,
- Formulating strategic and long-term business plans, Analyzing competitors
and market trends,
- Ensure the effective implementation of plans, policies and procedures
through leadership,
- Developing financial management mechanisms that minimize financial risk,
- Preparation of Budgets, fund management treasury function, Accruals,
- Reconciliations of Balance Sheet Accounts and maintain Fixed Assets
ledgers,
- Application of analytical procedures and Ratio and trend analysis,
- Donor reporting and comparing the actual costs with budgeted costs for
donor funded programs, and making a monthly variance analysis,
- Coordination with external statutory auditors for annual audit
- Coordination with Director Finance and carrying out special projects
assigned by Director Finance,
Qualification And Experience
- C.A. finalist/ ACCA Qualified/ACMA qualified,
- Excellent oral and written communication in English,
- Have good operational knowledge of MS Word and Excel,
- Be able to work under pressure, possess supervisory skills, initiative, integrity, flexibility, adaptability and good interpersonal skill and must be a team man,
- Relevant work experience in the development ands social sector would be
preferred.
Salary package will be offered on the basis of qualification and experience of the candidate
